Bestform for your advertising signs
We supply your signs made of aluminum dibond , Forex, acrylic glass and much more in the shape that best suits you. Whether round, oval, beveled, whether recessed or silhouettes for stands or simple arrows – no matter what shape, no matter whether printed or unprinted. Our CNC milling machine performs at its best for you and mills along the contours that you have created in your print file.
Tip: Please note that the milling head is round and therefore no sharp angles or corners on the inside can be milled. The inside corners will always be rounded with a radius of approx. 2 mm.
Creating the milling contour correctly
The required milling contours can be easily created in your graphics program.
First, create three solid color fields in the color palette.
Name them with the following color field names:
- Outer contour – in our example cyan
- Inner contour – in our example magenta
- Hole – in our example yellow
Then use the drawing pen to draw the milling contours or, for simple shapes, draw a circle or rectangle with the relevant tool. Now you need to color the drawn paths with the relevant solid color fields. The outer contour with the solid color “outer contour”, all inner contours with the solid color “inner contour” and all holes with the solid color “hole”. Now save as PDF X/3.
Tip: Create a new layer for the milling contours in the layout program. Place the new layer for the milling contours at the top. This way you can always see the contours. We also recommend “locking” all other layers so that you do not accidentally move the layout objects when creating the contours.
We give our maximum
We offer CNC milled signs up to a one-piece size of 300 x 200 cm. However, it is not only the CNC milling machine that determines the maximum sign size, but also:
- the respective maximum motherboard format
- the chosen printing process

Print & Cut workflow
Thanks to the integrated workpiece measurement and your milling data from the PDF file, we can also mill printed signs in special shapes. The special shape that you have created as a path in your print data is automatically read by our Caldera RIP. The print data is transferred to the large format printer and the control file including camera marks for contour milling is generated.
After printing, the plate is placed on the CNC milling machine. The control file is called up and the camera marks are read in with the integrated camera. The milling path is aligned and the milling process is started.
